Jerry Barrett: Historian of the ADR Movement

I learned recently that Jerry Barrett had passed away. Here is his obituary on Mediate.com. I meet Jerry a number of years ago after his book on the history of the ADR field was published – A History of Alternative Dispute Resolution: The Story of a Political, Social, and Cultural Movement – which is the best guide to understanding the development of the field. At the time we met, he was looking for find a home for his collection of papers on the field.

He was an important chronicler of our field, and made an important contribution to our work and the conflict field.
