This coming week the Forage Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc. will host 35 graduate students participating in its Atlantic Promise field exercise.  The exercise will start the afternoon of March 16 and end the afternoon of March 19.  It will be held in Fellsmere, FL.

Attending students will come from conflict resolution and management, and humanitarian programs from Nova Southeastern University, Tulane University, George Mason University, Wayne State University, and Kennesaw State University. All are masters or PhD students.  The simulation is designed to familiarize students with working in environments characterized by humanitarian emergencies and peacebuilding needs.   The exercise is supported by 40 role players, many coming from the local Fellsmere community, as well as members of the 436th Civil Affairs Battalion based in Sanford, FL.

For more information about last year’s exercise, you can read this news article and this blog.   Click below for more information about the Forage Center.  If you are with a graduate program interested in participation, please let the Forage Center know.  We are exploring hosting the exercise again in November 2017.
