What are IEA seminars? IEA seminars send U.S. international education professionals and senior-level higher education officials abroad to forge empowering connections with counterparts in other countries. During intensive two-week visits, seminar participants learn about the host country’s education system and expand their professional network. We are currently accepting applications for France and Germany. Not an administrator? Encourage your colleagues on campus to apply!
Upcoming Webinar: Scholar-in-Residence Host Impact Panel
S-I-R Dr. Reginald Oputa lecturing at his host institution, Pima Community College
The Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (S-I-R) Program provides U.S. institutions the chance to host a visiting international scholar for a semester or full academic year to teach while engaging extensively with your campus and local community. S-I-R scholars add an new perspective to existing coursework, expand your international education efforts, and help your students learn about a particular world region or country.
S-I-R applicant institutions are matched with scholars from around the world, making this an ideal opportunity for U.S. institutions who would like to engage more internationally but don’t already have connections abroad!
Curious to learn whether this is right for your campus? Join our upcoming webinar:
Tune in to hear from a panel of past S-I-R hosts discuss the benefits of hosting a visiting scholar. Panelists will discuss how this exchange can contribute to your institution’s internationalization efforts and the impact on the campus community as well as share best practices for completing an application and preparing to serve as a host.
