The American Foreign Service Association is offering free virtual programming geared toward college students to share the fundamentals of the work U.S. diplomats do overseas in support of our national security.
AFSA has a cadre of speakers — retired members of the U.S. Foreign Service – who are available for speaking engagements that will be of interest to your students. In addition to outlining the importance of diplomacy and the role of the Foreign Service, speakers are also able to share the experiences from their careers, often with an expertise in certain regions and/or foreign policy topics.

Lastly, AFSA also has internship opportunities that may be interesting to your students. Currently, AFSA is seeking an intern for the spring semester to work with the Communications and Outreach team. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this would be a remote position.
