International Education Week 2020

It’s International Education Week this week, November 16-20. Because of the coronavirus, the nature of international education and study abroad has changed in significant ways. This piece in the Washington Post (11/16/20) makes that point. Eventually, we will move back to traditional study abroad, but for now virtual experiences are the strategies that are being used.

This U.S. Department of State site list events happening worldwide that you can participate virtually in.

Here are a few pieces I’ve written about the value of international education including travel and study abroad.

The Peacebuilding Career Connection, NAFSA Blog, 10/16/20

A Peace Corps Parent’s Travels Through Namibia, LinkedIn Pulse 3/28/18

Building a better world through travel abroad, Baltimore Sun, 1/23/18

Promoting global education in a divided nation, Community College Daily, 11/30/16
