Featured Peacebuilding Group: Fulbright Association

I’ve been active in the Fulbright Association (FA) since returning from my time as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Estonia. This week’s Featured Peacebuilding Group is the Fulbright Association, which supports the Fulbright Program, founded by Sen. J. William Fulbright to advance world peace.   I’ve written about my experiences for the Fulbright Program.  The Fulbright Association is the membership association for Americans participating in one of the various Fulbright programs.  Internationals can also join the association.  Signature events of FA are its Annual Conference and Fulbright Prize.  Many members are actively involved in one of FA’s 60 U.S. regional chapters including the National Capital Area Association, serving the DC area.

I am a career coach, consultant, and head of a not for profit - the Forage Center - that offers humanitarian education training. I also teach at George Mason University and Drexel University. A one time lawyer, I spent many years teaching in a community college where I was a Fulbright U.S. Scholar teaching in Estonia. I'm the author of Peace Jobs: A Student's Guide to Starting a Career Working for Peace (IAP 2016). I've been married to my best friend for over 31 years and we have two well adjusted adult children who teach me something new everyday. I live in Rockville, Maryland.
