Forage Center Annual Retreat, Greensboro, NC, 12/2-12/3/17

The Forage Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc. held it’s annual retreat at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro’s Piney Lake Recreation and Wellness Center this past weekend.  As you might know, I serve as president of the Forage Center.

We hold a retreat to review our work from the past year and plan the coming year.  A major emphasis of the retreat was looking at programmatic activities in the coming year.  Our major program is the Coastal Promise Field Simulation to be held March 15-18, 2018 in Fellsmere, FL, USA.  The simulation is designed for U.S. and international based graduate students looking to build their capacity for working in complex emergencies characterized by the need for humanitarian and peacebuilding responses.  The 2018 simulation will focus on engagement with displaced persons.

If you go to our website, you can learn about our mission, vision and about our founder Dr. Paul Forage.

Information about registration for our March exercise is here.  If you’d like more information contact info@foragecenter.org.

Learn about past simulations here and here.
