International Negotiations Modules Project Planning Group to Meet in November

The International Negotiations Modules Project  (INMP) has been running for nearly 20 years in community colleges across the U.S.   The INMP is a web-based simulation which allows students to role play as diplomats, members of NGOs, government officials, and others in negotiating and working on global issues.

The simulation operates every spring.  Colleges participating in spring 2013 included Santa Rosa Jr. College, Virginia Highlands Community College, Onondaga College, Fresno City College, Pasadena City College, College of the Sequoias, and Jamestown Community College.  Every fall a planning meeting is hosted at Whittier College. This year’s meeting will be November 1-2, 2013,  A webinar will be held for those who cannot attend the meeting.  The overall objective of the meeting is to plan the spring 2014 simulation.

If you are interested in learning more about the INMP contact Joyce Kaufman at jkaufman@whittier.edu or Rosalind Raby at rabyrl@aol.com.   Kaufman and Greg Rabb of Jamestown Community College are co-authors of “International Negotiations Modules Project”, a chapter in Peacebuilding in Community Colleges: A Teaching Resource.
